Onset of Winter

We don’t get much snow in central North Carolina, so when we do, it’s always an occasion to pull out the camera. The little afternoon flurry we got this past weekend didn’t leave anything on the roads, but did make for some pretty winter scenery for a day or two. In other words, the perfect amount of snow for a Southerner.

The snow around these parts have pretty much melted, but here’s one more shot from last weekend’s snowstorm. I wish I had pressed the shutter a split second later so that the guys in the background would be a bit farther to the right. That would have made the photo much stronger and I won’t have to crop it to almost a square just to make it a bit more balanced.
