My Own Silky Smooth Water Shot

July 19th, 2011 Permalink

I’ve always loved pictures of rivers and waterfalls where the shutter speed is so slow as to make the water blur together like a smooth piece of silk. When we went to Linville Falls in western North Carolina a week ago, I knew I wanted to try that, so I carried a small but weighty tripod in my while hiking all around the falls. Ironically, I didn’t even end up using the tripod. Instead, I found a nice perch on the rocks and just used one of them to steady my camera.
