The street I usually walk down for my lunch-time strolls is covered with fallen leaves this time of year, especially at the house below. I snapped these pictures with my cell phone.
We took a hike along a riverbank yesterday and saw a lot of fungi growing on stumps. Here’s one cluster. I especially like the thin strands of fiber running from cap to the next. And yes, I know fungi aren’t plants, even though I’ve filed this post under the “plants” category.
We made one of our several trips to the zoo each year on Sunday, and as always, we came back with a ton of pictures. This is one of my favorites. It’s also really the first time I figured out how to use the “macro” function on my telephoto lens.
